Just a Kid From Flint

Hey!  I appreciate you stopping by.  I am currently a UX Manager at Applied Systems.  I lead the team working on the Applied Epic product.  I love solving people problems and understanding what makes us tick and I impart that curiousity in coaching and mentoring my team.  I truly enjoy the work, following the learning and eventually helping my users arrive at what Archie Miller calls "the yummy".  That sometimes audible acknowledgement of encountering something that you enjoy.  MMMmmmm.  

I love to learn, and UX has always provided me with a never ending exploration of self and new perspectives.  Hard skills, soft skills, enjoying the process, finding time to laugh, cry and eat, a favorite pass time of my wife and I.  I love to cook and travel the world.  I also have an ever growing collection of sneakers that I like to believe is a small piece of self-expression I carry, wherever life may take me.
